The house was very clean and tidy. The kitchen has modern electrics, big fridge with hugh freezer compartment, great dishwasher, stove and oven.
It´s located directly at the beach with stunning views of the isles Lanzarote and Lobos.
You can even enjoy the seaview from the living room sofa.
We also liked the huge bathrooms.
For a small fee, the salt water pool can be heated.
The alarm system is very easy to handle.
Our hosts Mark and Janne were very helpful before and during our holiday
We had a great stay at the beautiful Villa Pax and can absolutely recommand it.
Thanks again to Janne, Mark and Gonzalo for making our stay exceptional!
My husband, daughter and I have just enjoyed a wonderful winter sun holiday at Villa Pax on the outskirts of the port of Corralejo, on the Island of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands - the only problem was the holiday was too short, only one week, as Villa Pax is very booked up in advance, a sure sign of the excellence of this holiday accommodation! This was our first visit to the Canary Islands which are just off the Atlantic coast of North Africa, just four hours away from the UK by plane. This is an area just south of the Azores, with a very equable climate all year round, sunny nearly every day, with very few days of rain a year, and an average high temperature of 23C in the winter months, and lows of 12/15C at night, so not too hot, just right for British holiday makers.
The Canaries are part of Spain, but NOT in the EU for tax purposes, so living is very inexpensive, a bonus I was not expecting! We spent €140 on a big weeks shop, which included meat, fish and all we needed for a weeks holiday, including a few luxuries. I estimated that the same shop would have cost twice as much in our local Tesco in the UK!
Villa Pax is situated just off the Main Street of Corralejo, in a secure gated area, down a very pleasant quiet side street, only a short five minutes walk from the shops and restaurants, but opening out at the back directly on to the beach, only a stones throw (literally!) from the surf waving sea, and with the most amazing views! It immediately reminded me of my beautiful home on the north coast of Cornwall, but with sun every day, and definitely not the stormy weather we are at present enjoying since we came home. The constant gentle sound of the waves breaking accompanied our every day and night! We were entertained all day long with board surfers and wind surfers, and paddle boarders on quieter days, and all the boating activity of the local port, but were only a very short walk from the lovely main beach of Corralejo, with its beachside restaurants and amenities. But in the few short days we were there, we didn’t often stir from the very comfortable sun loungers on the wonderful pool deck, with its very warm private saltwater pool, - we have already booked Villa Pax for a longer holiday for the winter of 2021!
The villa itself was lovely, and very well equipped, with open plan living on one level - in fact the best kitchen I have ever had in all the many self catering holidays we have enjoyed. The main bedroom, with a very comfortable memory foam bed, and an excellent study off - great for the charging of phones and iPads, was next door to a wonderfully large and recently refurbished bathroom boasting a splendid walk in shower, and on the same level as the living and kitchen area. The further three bedrooms and another large bathroom, also with walk in shower, were on the floor below.
Finally, our wonderful holiday was further enhanced by the excellent information in advance from Mark and Janne, the villa’s owners, and also from Gonzalo, the local villa manager, always available for any queries and information about the local area. The whole town of Corralejo boasts excellent cycle tracks, including immediately outside our villa, and we are already looking forward to hiring bikes next year, to explore the surrounding area. This was really a holiday to remember, and one we are hoping to repeat for many years to come.
Just back from an amazing holiday with my family at Villa Pax. The villa is beautiful, very well equipped and comfortable and the location is fantastic. Gonzalo was very helpful and was only a phone call away if we needed any help with anything. During the build up to our holiday Mark was very good with any queries that we had about the villa. We loved staying at this villa and will definitely be going back.

Perfect setting with wonderful views out over the sea towards the small island of Lobos. Great to have direct access to the sandy beach, perfect for snorkelling where we saw lots of fish swimming around us. Upper terrace pool area with 6 sun beds, pool was a nice temperature. Lower terrace with ample seating for dining & relaxing. The villa is clean, tidy & spacious, the 2 bathrooms are huge with modern fittings, kitchen has all mod cons including large fridge/freezer & coffee machine. Quiet setting although within easy reach of shops & variety of restaurants, too many to choose from! We didn't feel the need to hire a car but did hire bikes for the day (€11 each) and visited El Burro beach which was stunning. We took a glass bottom catamaran to Lobos island (€20). Mark & Janne were very helpful with our questions on the run up to our holiday, Gonzalo met us on arrival and was very helpful in showing us the ropes and also gave us useful suggestions on the area. All in all a perfect holiday, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend & hope to return ourselves.
2nd visit to this wonderful villa with all the family and not disapointed. Settled straight in and started our holiday from day one. The facilities and the sea views are second to none. All the family absolutely love the place. My grandson loved that we could open the gate and he was on the beach and paddling in the sea. Thank you Mark and Janne for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful house. We hope to be back next year.
My parents and partner stayed at this beautiful villa at the beginning of June and had a wonderful time.
The villa is in an ideal location for exploring nearby attractions and has a stunning view across to the Isle de Lobos.
Although we hired a car, we barely used it as there was an array of activities (watersports, beaches, acqua park), restautants, shopping and supermarkets all within walking distance. The car did come in useful for a day trip down to the south end of the island though!
My mum has limited mobility due to arthritis and I'm partially sighted so we're always careful with locations and accomodation. The villa has an 'upside-down' design with 3/4 bedrooms downstairs. The master bedroom is upstairs with level access to the bathroom, kitchen and living room which was ideal for mum, who also really liked the memory foam mattress! The only stairs outside was down to the pool and beach as well as up to the terrace. The stairs were a little steep but had sturdy handrails so were fine with a little patience. As the villa is right on the beach and by the sea, I loved listening to the sound of the waves as I laid by the pool.
Mark, Janne and Gonzalo were wonderful hosts. They were very responsive and made some great recommendations. They also helpfully provided clear instructions on how to navigate the villa i.e. using the remote, blinds and grill
My parents have already asked to go back next year so I've started saving and can't wait to go back and learn how to kite surf!
Thank you Mark, Janne and Gonzalo
